Laotian medical residents and staff attending training at KKU


 
The Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, KKU, has arranged a 2-month elective training program for four 3rd-year medical residents from Lao PDR to be held between July and August, 2012.  Participants include:  1) Dr. (Mr.) Nayang  Yonglor; 2) Dr. (Mr.) Khammay Phengvansavanh; 3) Dr. (Ms.) Khounsay Boutsivongsak; and, 4) Dr. (Ms) Boualoy Aonekeo.  Training will include Pulmonology, Hematology and Rheumatology.

The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lao PDR, and the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, have an MOU enabling exchanges of students and staff.  The Department of Internal Medicine, KKU, regularly receives residents from the UHS in order to provide them enhanced clinical experience.

Dr. (Ms.) Douangdalay Faykhao (MD) (in the dark blue blouse) is from Mahosot Hospital, Vientiane, Lao PDR.  She is attending a 3-month training program in Hematology at the Department of Internal Medicine, Khon Kaen University.  Reported by Duangsamorn Chankwang, International Affairs, MD-KKU.
