Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Medicine continues to strengthen global academic collaboration by welcoming medical students and residents from Laos, Japan, and Indonesia to its Elective Exchange Program and Clinical Exchange Program from January 6 – 31, 2025.

Over the course of the program, students gained hands-on clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, Surgery, and Orthopedics, working alongside Thai medical professionals at Srinagarind Hospital, one of Thailand’s leading teaching hospitals. The initiative not only enhances medical expertise but also fosters cross-cultural understanding and global networking among future healthcare professionals.

Bridging Medical Knowledge and Cultural Exchange

Participants engaged in lectures, clinical rotations, and hands-on training in real hospital settings, observing patient care, surgical procedures, and emergency response techniques unique to Thailand’s healthcare system.

Beyond clinical learning, the exchange program played a key role in building international medical networks. Students interacted with Thai medical teams and fellow trainees from different backgrounds, sharing insights into their home countries’ healthcare approaches and treatment methods.

 

A Stepping Stone for Global Healthcare Cooperation

Khon Kaen University congratulates all exchange participants on their successful completion of the program. นักศึกษาแพทย์จากลาว ญี่ปุ่น และอินโดนีเซีย สำเร็จการศึกษาจากโครงการแลกเปลี่ยน คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เดินหน้าส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ ด้วยการต้อนรับนักศึกษาแพทย์และแพทย์ประจำบ้านจากลาว ญี่ปุ่น และอินโดนีเซีย เข้าร่วมโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนทางการแพทย์ (Elective Exchange Program และ Clinical Exchange Program) ระหว่างวันที่ 6 – 31 มกราคม 2568 ครอบคลุมสาขาวิชา เวชศาสตร์ฉุกเฉิน ศัลยศาสตร์ และออร์โธปิดิกส์

ในปีนี้ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ให้การต้อนรับแพทย์ประจำบ้านจากมหาวิทยาลัยวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพแห่ง สปป.ลาว ในภาควิชาเวชศาสตร์ฉุกเฉิน ได้แก่ Dr. Vilaphon Phanthaly และ Dr. Soulideth Xongchacksinh ซึ่งเข้าร่วมการฝึกอบรมระหว่างวันที่ 6 – 31 มกราคม 2568

สำหรับภาควิชาศัลยศาสตร์ มีนักศึกษาแพทย์ที่เข้าร่วมโครงการ ได้แก่ Ms. Momoka Yoshino จากมหาวิทยาลัยกิฟุ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น และ Ms. Felicia Averine จากมหาวิทยาลัยกาจาห์ มาดา ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย โดยเข้าร่วมการฝึกอบรมระหว่างวันที่ 7 – 31 มกราคม 2568

ด้านภาควิชาออร์โธปิดิกส์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ได้ให้การต้อนรับนักศึกษาแพทย์จากมหาวิทยาลัยนาโกย่า ซิตี้ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ระหว่างวันที่ 21 – 31 มกราคม 2568 ได้แก่ Ms. Ami Suzuki, Ms. Ayane Tokumaru, Ms. Natsumi Fukushima, Ms. Yuriko Akashi, Mr. Taishi Masutani, Mr. Takayuki Matsui และ Mr. Takehiro Ando

โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนทางการแพทย์นี้เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาแพทย์ได้เรียนรู้จากคณาจารย์และแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญผ่านการบรรยายและฝึกปฏิบัติจริงในโรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ ได้สัมผัสระบบสาธารณสุขของไทย รวมถึงเรียนรู้แนวทางการรักษาที่แตกต่างจากระบบการแพทย์ในประเทศของตนเอง นอกจากนี้ ยังช่วยเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายทางการแพทย์ระดับนานาชาติและแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมระหว่างนักศึกษาแพทย์จากหลากหลายประเทศ

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักศึกษาแพทย์ทุกท่าน ที่สำเร็จการศึกษาจากโครงการนี้ และหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าความรู้และประสบการณ์ที่ได้รับจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ด้านการแพทย์ในระดับสากล พร้อมสานต่อความร่วมมือทางวิชาการเพื่อยกระดับการแพทย์ให้ก้าวไกลยิ่งขึ้นในอนาคต

On January 20, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (MDKKU) warmly welcomed seven fifth-year medical students from Nagoya City University, Japan, as part of a clinical exchange program. The program, focusing on the Department of Orthopedics, runs from January 21 to 30, 2025. The participating students are:

1. Miss Ami Suzuki
2. Miss Ayane Tokumaru
3. Miss Natsumi Fukushima
4. Mr. Taishi Masutani
5. Mr. Takehiro Ando
6. Mr. Takayuki Matsui
7. Miss Yuriko Akashi

 

 

On their first day, the students participated in an orientation session organized by the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Medicine. The session included:

• An introduction to Khon Kaen University and its Faculty of Medicine
• A campus tour to visit key landmarks
• A hands-on experience with the university’s public transit system, KKU Smart Transit (KST)
• Basic Thai language lessons to facilitate daily communication

 

This exchange program aims to provide Japanese medical students with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in orthopedics while fostering cultural understanding and strengthening the academic ties between Thailand and Japan. The program also serves as a platform to promote academic collaboration and joint medical research beneficial to both countries.

The Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University hopes that this exchange program will serve as a vital foundation for expanding educational partnerships and fostering knowledge exchange in medicine, benefiting students, faculty, and medical professionals in both Thailand and Japan.

นักศึกษาแพทย์จาก Nagoya City University ประเทศญี่ปุ่นแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ทางคลินิกที่คณะแพทย์ฯ มข  

เมื่อวันที่ 20 มกราคม 2568 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้ให้การต้อนรับนักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 5 จำนวน 7 คน จาก Nagoya City University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนเพื่อเรียนรู้ประสบการณ์ทางคลินิก ณ สาขาวิชาออร์โธปิดิกส์ ระหว่างวันที่ 21-30 มกราคม 2568 นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมโครงการประกอบไปด้วย

ในวันแรกของโครงการ นักศึกษาได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมปฐมนิเทศที่จัดขึ้นโดยงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ ซึ่งมีกิจกรรมที่หลากหลาย เช่น การแนะนำข้อมูลเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นและคณะแพทยศาสตร์ การเยี่ยมชมสถานที่สำคัญภายในมหาวิทยาลัย การทดลองใช้ระบบขนส่งมวลชนมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น หรือ KKU Smart Transit (KST) การเรียนภาษาไทยเบื้องต้นเพื่อการสื่อสารในชีวิตประจำวัน

โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนครั้งนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อให้นักศึกษาแพทย์จากญี่ปุ่นได้รับความรู้และประสบการณ์ทางด้านออร์โธปิดิกส์ พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมความเข้าใจทางวัฒนธรรมและสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นระหว่างสองประเทศ นอกจากนี้ โครงการยังเปิดโอกาสในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการวิจัยที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อวงการแพทย์

日本名古屋市立大学医学生赴孔敬大学医学部开展临床经验交流

2025年1月20日，孔敬大学医学部热烈欢迎来自日本名古屋市立大学的7名五年级医学生，参加于2025年1月21日至30日在骨科系开展的临床经验交流项目。参与本次项目的学生包括：

此次交流项目旨在帮助日本医学生提升骨科领域的专业知识和实践经验，同时促进文化理解，增进两国友谊。此外，该项目还为推动学术合作与医学研究提供了契机，为医疗领域的发展作出贡献。

The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, is pleased to welcome medical students from Nagoya City University, Japan, under the Elective Exchange Program, which is being held over a two-week period from January 7 to 16, 2025. The program aims to promote the exchange of academic knowledge and medical experiences, while fostering mutual understanding of cultural differences between the two countries.

The medical students participating in the program include:

4. Mr. Ryoto Tsutsumi
5. Mr. Yasuhiro Kato

 

 

 

Throughout the program, the students participated in various medical activities, including observing surgeries to acquire surgical techniques, studying patients in the clinic to refine diagnostic skills, exchanging perspectives on patient management with faculty and medical staff, and engaging in simulation exercises to enhance their clinical competence and confidence in the field of orthopedics at the Faculty of Medicine.

In addition, the students had the opportunity to experience Thai culture through various activities, such as visiting significant landmarks at Khon Kaen University, touring key locations in Khon Kaen province, and participating in recreational activities that fostered positive relationships between Thai and Japanese students.

This Elective Exchange Program not only provided an opportunity for the students to develop their professional skills but also played a key role in strengthening the relationship between the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and Nagoya City University. It marks an important step in promoting sustainable international cooperation in the field of medicine.

ตั้งแต่วันที่ 7 – 16 มกราคม 2568 โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ทางวิชาการและประสบการณ์ทางด้านการแพทย์ พร้อมทั้งสร้างความเข้าใจอันดีในด้านวัฒนธรรมระหว่างสองประเทศ

Lao doctors and medical technicians have taken the stage at Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Medicine to present their achievements following months of intensive clinical training and study. The event, designed to foster international collaboration and knowledge sharing, highlighted the transformative potential of cross-border medical exchange programs in Southeast Asia.

Representing the University of Health Sciences in Laos, these medical professionals shared their learnings from hands-on experience in specialized fields, sparking conversations on innovations and future collaborations between the two nations.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เปิดเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และนำเสนอผลงานของแพทย์ประจำบ้านและนักเทคนิคการแพทย์จากประเทศลาว ที่เข้าร่วมโครงการฝึกปฏิบัติงานด้านคลินิกและศึกษาดูงานในสาขาวิชาการแพทย์ที่สำคัญ โดยกิจกรรมนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้และความร่วมมือทางการแพทย์ในระดับภูมิภาค

ในงานนี้ ผู้เข้าร่วมจากคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ สปป.ลาว ได้แสดงความรู้และประสบการณ์ที่ได้รับจากการฝึกปฏิบัติงานในระยะเวลา 4 สัปดาห์ถึง 6 เดือนในสาขาต่าง ๆ ซึ่งประกอบด้วย:

In a heartwarming celebration of cross-border collaboration and academic achievement, the Lao Consulate-General in Khon Kaen hosted the “Graduation Celebration for Lao Students and Welcoming New Students” event, marking a milestone for medical graduates from Laos who have completed their studies at Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Medicine.

The event, held amidst an atmosphere of pride and camaraderie, was graced by Mr. Somsak Vilaython, Lao Consul General, and Mr. Bounyang Phongsamai, Deputy Consul General. Representing Khon Kaen University, Assoc. Khon Kaen, Thailand – In a remarkable move to foster international academic collaboration, Khon Kaen University (KKU) has joined hands with Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani Yogyakarta, Indonesia, welcoming two Indonesian nursing students to engage in a unique hands-on learning experience at Srinagarind Hospital.

The exchange program, spanning from December 4, 2024, to January 14, 2025, marks a significant step in building a global network of healthcare professionals while enhancing cross-cultural medical expertise.

Trailblazing International Collaboration

Two nursing students, Miss Aisya Amalia Nst and Miss Lu’lu Sarifatun Nisa, have arrived at KKU’s Faculty of Medicine for an intensive observation and study program focused on midwifery and maternal care. The initiative is part of KKU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with international institutions and promote excellence in nursing education.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani Yogyakarta and provide these students with an enriching clinical experience,” said Prof. Somsak Tiamkao, Director of Srinagarind Hospital.

The program offers a comprehensive overview of maternal and neonatal care through real-world clinical observation:

• December 4 & 6, 2024: Students observed patient care practices in Ward 2B

Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Medicine has once again solidified its role as a leading hub for regional medical education by welcoming medical students from Cambodia and Laos to participate in an Elective Program. This initiative not only sharpens professional skills but also fosters knowledge exchange, cultural understanding, and deeper connections among neighboring countries.

A New Horizon for Specialized Learning

This year’s Elective Program provided Cambodian medical students with the opportunity to explore various specialized fields:

• Community and Family Medicine: Miss Phon Chanseyhakmeaneath, Miss Haiden Kanhchana, and Mr. Den Chhaiyuth immersed themselves in understanding healthcare delivery at the community and family levels. They engaged in health screenings, consultations, and rural healthcare initiatives, gaining firsthand experience in public health strategies.
• Pediatrics: Miss Seam Sopochta and Miss Seak Mengchhe honed their skills in pediatric care, focusing on child health management, developmental assessments, and addressing critical health issues in young patients.
• Obstetrics and Gynecology: Miss Kry Sonita and Miss Lek Kimsorn trained in managing complex patient cases in obstetric and gynecological wards. Their hands-on experience emphasized holistic care and the application of advanced medical technologies.

Miss Sin Sereyrachana gained a unique experience by rotating through multiple disciplines, including Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, and Plastic Surgery. From mastering life-saving techniques in critical care to understanding mental health complexities and participating in reconstructive surgeries, her exposure was both comprehensive and transformative.

Representing Laos, Dr. Manivanh Sommyxay and Dr. Ammaly Sayyasan, third-year medical residents, delved into the intricacies of Emergency Medicine. Their training encompassed decision-making in high-pressure scenarios, managing critically ill patients, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in emergency settings.

Cross-Border Collaboration Through Cultural Exchange

Beyond the clinical training, participants from both countries immersed themselves in Thai culture through activities such as museum visits, learning the Thai language, and engaging with local communities. นักศึกษาแพทย์จากกัมพูชาและลาว เสริมทักษะผ่านโครงการศึกษาดูงานที่มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (มข.) ย้ำบทบาทสำคัญในฐานะศูนย์กลางการแพทย์ระดับภูมิภาค ด้วยการต้อนรับนักศึกษาแพทย์จากกัมพูชาและแพทย์จากลาวเข้าร่วมโครงการศึกษาดูงาน (Elective Program) ที่ไม่เพียงเสริมสร้างทักษะวิชาชีพทางการแพทย์ แต่ยังเปิดโอกาสให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ วัฒนธรรม และการเชื่อมโยงที่ลึกซึ้งยิ่งขึ้นระหว่างประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน

มิติใหม่ของการเรียนรู้ในสาขาเฉพาะทาง

โครงการศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้ได้เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาแพทย์จากกัมพูชาได้สัมผัสประสบการณ์ที่หลากหลายในสาขาวิชาต่าง ๆ:

สาขาเวชศาสตร์ชุมชน เวชศาสตร์ ครอบครัวและอาชีวเวชศาสตร์: Miss Phon Chanseyhakmeaneath, Miss Haiden Kanhchana และ Mr. Den Chhaiyuth ได้ศึกษาแนวทางการดูแลสุขภาพในระดับครอบครัวและชุมชน รวมถึงการตรวจสุขภาพและการให้คำปรึกษาในพื้นที่ชนบท

สาขากุมารเวชศาสตร์: Miss Seam Sopochta และ Miss Seak Mengchhe ได้รับการฝึกฝนในการดูแลสุขภาพเด็ก การประเมินพัฒนาการ และการจัดการภาวะสุขภาพในวัยเยาว์

สาขาสูติศาสตร์และนรีเวชวิทยา: Miss Kry Sonita และ Miss Lek Kimsorn ได้ศึกษาเทคนิคการดูแลผู้ป่วยที่ซับซ้อนในหอผู้ป่วย โดยเน้นการดูแลแบบองค์รวมและการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์

แพทย์จาก สปป.ลาว Dr. Manivanh Sommyxay และ Dr. Ammaly Sayyasan แพทย์ประจำบ้านชั้นปีที่ 3 ได้เข้าร่วมศึกษาดูงานในสาขาเวชศาสตร์ฉุกเฉิน โดยมีการฝึกปฏิบัติในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉินที่ซับซ้อน การจัดการผู้ป่วยในภาวะวิกฤต และการตัดสินใจอย่างเร่งด่วนในสถานการณ์ที่กดดัน

ประสบการณ์ข้ามพรมแดนที่สะท้อนความร่วมมือระดับภูมิภาค

นอกเหนือจากการเรียนรู้ในวิชาชีพ นักศึกษาและแพทย์จากทั้งสองประเทศยังได้สัมผัสวิถีชีวิตไทยผ่านกิจกรรมแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรม เช่น การเยี่ยมชมพิพิธภัณฑ์ การเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับภาษาไทย และการเยี่ยมชมชุมชนท้องถิ่น ซึ่งช่วยเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจและความสัมพันธ์ที่แน่นแฟ้น

การสร้างอนาคตแห่งการแพทย์ในภูมิภาค

โครงการศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงความตั้งใจของมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นในการเป็นศูนย์กลางด้านการแพทย์และการศึกษาในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ด้วยเป้าหมายการยกระดับคุณภาพการแพทย์และสร้างผลกระทบเชิงบวกต่อระบบสุขภาพ

柬老医学生赴孔敬大学研修医学技能，增进区域医疗合作

泰国孔敬——孔敬大学医学学院展示其作为区域医疗教育中心的重要角色，热情迎接来自柬埔寨和老挝的医学生和住院医师，参加为期一个月的医学研修计划。这一计划不仅旨在提升医学技能，还促进了跨文化交流和东南亚国家间的深度合作。

多学科领域深入学习

来自柬埔寨的医学生通过该计划在多个医学领域拓展了专业知识：

• 社区医学与职业医学
  Phon Chanseyhakmeaneath、Haiden Kanhchana 和 Den Chhaiyuth 三位同学深入学习了如何为社区和家庭提供全面健康管理，包括农村卫生服务和健康筛查。
• 儿科医学
  Seam Sopochta 和 Seak Mengchhe 聚焦于儿童健康发展和疾病管理，尤其是在新生儿护理与成长评估领域取得了丰富经验。
• 妇产科医学
  Kry Sonita 和 Lek Kimsorn 专注于妇产科病患的复杂病例管理，从病房护理到诊疗技术应用，充分体会了该领域的多样性与挑战。

此外，Sin Sereyrachana 还轮转参与了急诊医学、精神病学和整形外科的学习，在急诊医学中，她学习了抢救技术和危重病人管理；精神病学课程中，她加深了对心理健康问题的理解；整形外科的实践为她提供了参与复杂手术的机会。

老挝住院医师专注急诊医学

来自老挝的住院医师 Manivanh Sommyxay 和 Ammaly Sayyasan 专注于急诊医学的学习。他们在为期4周的课程中，重点学习了紧急情况下的快速决策和危重病人管理。通过与泰国医学同行的密切合作，他们在专业能力上获得了显著提升。

跨文化体验：深化区域合作

研修计划不仅注重专业技能的提升，还通过多样化的文化交流活动加深了参与者对泰国文化的理解。例如，医学生们参观了当地博物馆、学习基础泰语并体验了社区医疗服务。这些活动为他们搭建了文化互通的桥梁，促进了更深层次的区域合作。

孔敬大学医学学院的这一研修计划不仅培养了医学生和住院医师的专业技能，还强化了区域医疗教育合作，为东南亚医疗体系的提升注入了新的活力。

The Department of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, welcomed Dr. Tashi Dorji, Senior Medical Officer from Gidakom Hospital in Thimphu, Bhutan, to its Residency Training Program in Anatomic Pathology. Funded by the Bhutanese government, the three-year program runs from November 15, 2024, to November 15, 2027.

 

 

This program is part of Thailand’s Visiting Doctor Initiative, organized by the Medical Council of Thailand, aiming to enhance medical expertise and foster international collaboration. Khon Kaen University is recognized as a key center for international medical training in the region, with a vision of becoming a global leader in medical education, research, and healthcare services.

Welcoming Dr. Dorji reflects Khon Kaen University’s pivotal role in advancing global healthcare networks and strengthening international medical partnerships.

มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นต้อนรับแพทย์ภูฏานร่วมอบรมแพทย์ประจำบ้าน สะท้อนบทบาทศูนย์กลางแพทย์วิเทศ

สาขาวิชาพยาธิวิทยา คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้ต้อนรับ Dr. Tashi Dorji แพทย์อาวุโสจากโรงพยาบาล Gidakom กรุงทิมพู ราชอาณาจักรภูฏาน ซึ่งได้รับทุนสนับสนุนจากรัฐบาลภูฏาน เพื่อเข้าร่วมหลักสูตรการฝึกอบรมแพทย์ประจำบ้าน สาขาพยาธิวิทยากายวิภาค (Residency Training in Anatomic Pathology) เป็นระยะเวลา 3 ปี ตั้งแต่วันที่ 15 พฤศจิกายน 2567 ถึง 15 พฤศจิกายน 2570

โครงการดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ แพทย์วิเทศ ของแพทยสภา ประเทศไทย โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาความเชี่ยวชาญทางการแพทย์ พร้อมส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นได้รับการยอมรับในฐานะศูนย์กลางการฝึกอบรมแพทย์วิเทศในภูมิภาค โดยมีวิสัยทัศน์มุ่งสู่การเป็นโรงเรียนแพทย์ระดับโลกที่ยกระดับคุณภาพการศึกษา การวิจัย และบริการทางการแพทย์

孔敬大学医学院病理学系欢迎来自不丹廷布吉达康医院的高级医师塔希·多吉博士加入解剖病理学住院医师培训项目。塔希博士由不丹政府资助，将参加为期三年的培训，从2024年11月15日持续至2027年11月15日。

此次项目隶属于泰国医师协会的 国际医生培训计划（แพทย์วิเทศ），旨在提升医学专业知识并促进国际合作。孔敬大学以其作为区域国际医学培训中心的地位而闻名，其愿景是成为全球医学教育、研究和医疗服务的领导者。
