10 ธันวาคม 2567 – รองศาสตราจารย์ พญ.วรัชญา พันธุ์พฤกษ์ ผู้ช่วยคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ผู้แทนจากคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (มข.) ได้เดินทางเยือน โรงพยาบาล Shuang Ho ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในเขตจงเหอ นครนิวไทเป ไต้หวัน เพื่อสำรวจโอกาสความร่วมมือทางการแพทย์ การศึกษา และวิจัยร่วมกัน โดยโรงพยาบาลแห่งนี้ถือเป็นหนึ่งในโรงพยาบาลสำคัญของ มหาวิทยาลัยการแพทย์ไทเป (Taipei Medical University – TMU) ที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในระบบสาธารณสุขไต้หวัน

โรงพยาบาล Shuang Ho: ผู้นำด้านการแพทย์ในไต้หวัน

- ศูนย์การแพทย์นานาชาติ ที่ให้บริการผู้ป่วยต่างชาติและดำเนินการโครงการดูแลสุขภาพแบบครบวงจร
- แผนกจักษุวิทยา ที่เชี่ยวชาญด้านการรักษาโรคตาและการผ่าตัดจักษุ

จากการหารือเบื้องต้น ความร่วมมือที่มีศักยภาพระหว่าง Shuang Ho Hospital และคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ได้แก่
- โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาแพทย์และบุคลากร
เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาและบุคลากรของทั้งสองสถาบันได้แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ในสภาพแวดล้อมการแพทย์ที่แตกต่าง
- การวิจัยร่วมในสาขาเวชศาสตร์เขตร้อนและรังสีวิทยา
